CONFERENCES - CASES - COMPANY VISITS
The Alternative Teaching Program is designed to complement and feed into MIEX’s ultimate aim of providing its students with hands-on, practical business perspectives to accompany the theory of the classroom.
Students are taken to visit: wineries in France, world-famous companies in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna motor valley, companies which implement green projects and sustainable business practices, companies from the fashion industry, and more.
In addition to these company visits, there is also a series of in-class case studies, first hand business presentations from prominent business leaders, business games, and group work assignments in relevant areas, like: brand development, logistics and primary purchases, innovation and new product management, innovative marketing strategies, etc.
The objective of these activities is to give students an insider’s view on the production processes and marketing, commerce, trade, and sales strategies of companies, as well as a firsthand look at the management practices.
At the end of these visits and presentations, the students will be well aware of the business contexts in which they find themselves, ranging from large corporate offices to SMEs; they will also be very familiar with the markets in which they have had the privilege to both study and live.
MIEX’s Alternative Teaching Program gives its students a more hands-on, practical experience as well as an insider’s perspective of the businesses and productive zones located in the territory in which it resides — France, Italy, China, Mexico, Russia, and Sweden.
